The Web Explorer Lite allows users to browse files and folders, check files in and out, view files created by various applications, search for files using various search criteria, and create files and folders. Use the WEL if:
You do not want to install software on your computer.
Your IS department will not open port 5800 on your network firewall.
You do not need application integration with AutoCAD/MicroStation and you do not need to use automated standards and/or workspaces. You may still view, redline and check out CAD files for editing.
