HDR has served North Carolina and South Carolina for over 43 years offering clients comprehensive professional engineering design, architectural design, and consulting services in a wide range of multi-disciplinary expertise. The Charlotte office has established a strong and positive position in the Carolinas as a leader in the engineering consulting field by combining innovation with practical solutions with services that include the full spectrum of planning, design, program management, and construction administration in the transportation, water, wastewater, environmental, facilities, solid waste and water resources arenas. The architectural group provides the expertise in the areas of healthcare, civic, and science and technology.

HDR has five offices to serve the Carolinas, with a staff of over 100. The Charlotte office serves as the regional center with offices in Raleigh and Sunset Beach, North Carolina; and Charleston and Rock Hill, South Carolina.
