HDR Acquires Cummins & Barnard, Inc.

(OMAHA, Neb. - January 14, 2008) - HDR, a leading architecture-engineering- consulting firm, has acquired Cummins & Barnard, Inc., a full-service consulting engineering firm headquartered in Ann Arbor, Mich. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Going forward, Cummins & Barnard, Inc. will conduct business as HDR|Cummins & Barnard.

In addition to its Ann Arbor headquarters, Cummins & Barnard has an office in Chicago. The firm employs 112 professionals and specializes in consulting and design services for industrial, institutional and utility power generation facilities within the United States. HDR's complementary services in engineering, environmental, transmission and balance of plant areas provide additional bench strength for Cummins & Barnard's power plant expertise. In turn, Cummins & Barnard complements HDR's industry-leading renewable energy program.

Under the new corporate structure, Damon will be a senior vice president and director of power consulting. James Connell, P.E., Cummins & Barnard president, will be a senior vice president and director of power facilities.
