HDR's Csoboth Appointed to Lead Fisheries Safety Committee

(PEARL RIVER, N.Y. - March 3, 2009) - Laura Csoboth, an environmental scientist in HDR's Pearl River office, has been named the new chairperson of the Professional Safety Committee for the American Fisheries Society.

Laura A. Csoboth, Environmental Scientist, Pearl River, NYThe American Fisheries Society is the world's oldest organization dedicated to improving the fisheries profession. Csoboth is the second chairperson of the safety committee, a new initiative established in 2005.  
 
Csoboth is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Southern Illinois University. She volunteered with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, has worked for the Illinois Natural History Survey and conducted fisheries research on several large river systems. Since joining HDR in 2006, Csoboth has worked on several biological surveys and technical reports for waterfront and estuarine-related projects in the New York-New Jersey Harbor, as well as several environmental assessments for New York City agencies.
