Engineering Firm to Strengthen HDR's Canadian, Transit Presence
(OMAHA, Neb. - July 27, 2009) - Leading architectural, engineering consulting firm HDR has acquired iTRANS Consulting Inc., a transportation planning and engineering consulting firm with headquarters in Toronto. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Going forward, iTRANS will conduct business as HDR|iTRANS.
Founded in Toronto in 1996, iTRANS employs 120 professionals. In addition to Toronto, it has offices in Vancouver, B.C., Calgary, Alta., and Ottawa, Cambridge and Richmond Hill, Ont. It also has a United States office in Washington, D.C. The firm specializes in transportation planning and design, traffic engineering, safety, and transportation systems and is recognized as one of the leading Canadian providers of these services.
