HDR Author Explains Key Role of Public Process in $1.8 Billion Wastewater Treatment Project

(July 7, 2011) - Edith Hadler, P.E., an HDR vice president who manages the Washington state water group, was featured in the July 7 Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce special section on the Brightwater regional wastewater treatment system. Her article "Public process helped make Brightwater a Reality" discussed the important role of consensus in bringing the $1.8 billion project to life. Hadler was the project manager for the Brightwater conveyance design, which includes a 13-mile-long deep-bore conveyance tunnel with three construction portals.
