American Society of Landscape Architects Selects Historic Fourth Ward Park as Green Infrastructure Case Study
(September 2011) - The American Society of Landscape Architects has selected Historic Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta as one of its featured green infrastructure case studies addressing stormwater management. The project turned something as utilitarian as stormwater into a visually compelling element of the park's design. In their selection letter, ASLA's president and CEO said, "These case studies will go a long way in demonstrating the effectiveness in utilizing landscape architecture techniques to help manage our nation's water quality issues."
HDR designed the first five acres of this award-winning project, which is the first component of a 22-mile Beltline Greenway.
