HDR Projects, Graff featured in BD+C Magazine
(February 20, 2013) - HDR's work and design expertise were featured in the February 2013 issue of Building Design+Construction magazine. The article, "New Trends in Ceiling Designs and Materials," describes how designers are exploring ways to go beyond the treatment of ceilings as white, monolithic planes.
Photography from HDR projects—including the Omaha Children Hospital's Specialty Pediatric Center; University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center SCRB-4; New Jersey Manufacturer Corporate Headquarters; and Kaiser Permanente TownPark Comprehensive Medical Center—was featured to illustrate ceiling elements and design variables that impact building performance, occupant health, and comfort. Gene Graff, Senior Professional Associate at HDR's Princeton office, was quoted extensively in the article for his expertise in architectural details and their effect on the holistic design of a building.
