HDR's Layman Authors Article in Ultrapure Water Magazine

(September 15, 2016) - Colleen Layman, director of HDR's power water management practice, has authored an article in the August 2016 issue of Ultrapure Water magazine.

The article, "Cooling Systems: Understanding Water Chemistry Differences Between Closed and Stator Cooling Water Systems," seeks to help the reader better understand how stator and closed-water cooling systems operate. It examines the common water treatment methods associated with each kind of cooling system. Two case studies show how the unique operating characteristics of closed and stator cooling systems can lead to operational problems, if not carefully monitored by plant personnel.
