HDR's Murdoch Appointed to SWANA Waste-to-Energy Leadership Role
(WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - October 27, 2008) - The Solid Waste Association of North America recently announced the appointment of Joe Murdoch of HDR's White Plains office to serve as vice director of its Waste-to-Energy Technical Division.
In this role, Murdoch will work to boost awareness of key issues related to waste-to-energy projects across the country. After two years as vice director, Murdoch will move up to become director of the Waste-to-Energy Division for two years, then complete his six-year commitment with two years as past director.
The Waste-to-Energy Technical Division works to enhance the role of waste-to-energy as a viable component of an integrated solid waste management system and a source of clean, reliable and renewable power. The division monitors, reviews and comments on legislative and rulemaking actions that impact the waste-to-energy industry.
Murdoch has more than 30 years in the industry and has been with HDR for 22 years. He is a senior vice president and National Waste Facility pursuit leader.
