Tim Bennett Tapped as Union Pacific Client Manager

(September 7, 2010) - Tim Bennett, P.E., LEED AP, has been named HDR's client manager for Union Pacific Railroad. In his new role, the 16-year HDR veteran will oversee and coordinate HDR's work for Union Pacific across the UP system.

Bennett has 25 years of engineering experience in the freight rail industry. His recent experience includes serving as lead civil engineer for the railroad's Sunset Route Double Track project, which covers more than 325 miles of second main track between Thermal, Calif. and Tucson, Ariz.

Bennett is incoming chair of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association's Technical Committee 5 — Track, and a member of the Transportation Research Board's Railroad Track Structure System Design Committee.
