HDR's Burdette Receives Young Engineer of the Year Award

(March 10, 2014) - Nick Burdette, a bridge engineer from HDR's Pittsburgh office, has received the Young Engineer of the Year Award from the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers.

A professional engineer, Burdette has more than eight years of industry experience in bridge design and construction management in the United States and the United Kingdom. Since joining HDR in 2009, Burdette has worked on many local and national projects, including the North Shore Connector and the Bonner Bridge Replacement.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and master of science in civil/structural engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the University of Pittsburgh Civil Engineering Alumni Club, Gateway Toastmasters Club, Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania and the American Society of Highway Engineers.
