Two HDR Projects Receive National Steel Bridge Alliance Prize Bridge Awards
(May 28, 2014) - Two bridge projects have received awards from the National Steel Bridge Alliance 2014 Prize Bridge Awards Competition.
The Shenandoah River Bridge Delta Frame in Jefferson County, West Virginia, received the major span Prize Bridge Award. The major span bridge category is for bridges that have one or more spans greater than or equal to 400 feet.
The Iowa Falls Bridge in Iowa Falls, Iowa, received a Merit Award for long span bridges. Long span bridges have a longest span that is equal to or greater than 250 feet but less than 400 feet.
The NSBA awards recognize innovative design and engineering achievements on structural steel bridge projects throughout the United States. The award is the highest honor bestowed on steel bridge projects. Winning projects were based on innovation, aesthetics and design and engineering solutions.
