Charlie Meyer Makes Elevate Lifestyle’s 30 Under 30

(July 1, 2014) – Charlie Meyer, project architect from HDR's Charlotte office, has been voted into the Top 30 Under 30 of 2014 by Elevate Lifestyle magazine. The annual selection highlights "Future Leaders of Charlotte."

Charlie has been working at HDR's Charlotte office for six years. In that time, he has focused mainly (only) on healthcare, participating in ground-breaking projects including the new Parkland Hospital in Dallas; the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital Polytrauma expansion in Tampa, Fla.; and the King Faisal Medical City in Abha, Saudia Arabia. He was part of the inaugural class of BOOST, a program created by HDR to develop leadership abilities, tools and competencies in promising young professionals.

His impressive resume includes scholarships from Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo and Herman Miller. He also designed an award-winning stool—made from a single piece of sheet metal—that was produced and had showings at multiple venues, including the Milan International Furniture Fair.

Charlie also volunteers at Carolinas Medical Center—an activity that helps him give back to the community while rounding out his knowledge of healthcare facility operations.

Elevate Lifestyle is a monthly publication dedicated to culture, entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle in the city of Charlotte. Their Top 30 Under 30 award program celebrates the best and brightest young professionals who elevate the city either through their career or by volunteering.
