Clive Francis Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award in Cost Engineering

(August 11, 2015) - HDR wishes to congratulate Clive Francis for earning the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering's third-ever Lifetime Achievement Award. Since its inception in 2008, the award has recognized members who've been elected multiple times to serve on association boards, received other prestigious AACE awards and continued serving in a different capacity for at least 10 years after initially serving on an AACE International board.

Francis's longtime leadership in the organization led him to be honored as a standout in the 9,000-member association. Last year he was presented with an honorary life membership. He's also received the O.T. Zimmerman Founder's Award for exemplary service and contributions to the AACE, and the Award of Merit, given for an outstanding contribution to the cost management or cost engineering profession. He's been a member of AACE since 1970 and has served as an officer for 13 years, including as president and as chair of the Education Board.

Throughout his 44 years of experience, Francis has managed cost, scheduling and estimating for many major power projects. He's lent his hands-on knowledge of project controls on more than 12 combined cycle plants, two coal plants, an aluminum smelter, and numerous projects in the petrochemical area.
