HDR's Konda to Lead Nebraska AWWA Section

(January 14, 2011) - Teresa Konda has been named chairwoman of the Nebraska section of the American Water Works Association.

Konda, a Water/wastewater engineer in HDR's Omaha office, has been a member of AWWA since 2002 and a member of the Nebraska section since 2003. She has served on the Young Professionals, Water For People and Fall conference committees and has been involved in organizing the Nebraska section retreats for the last three years.

Three other HDR professionals also have been named chairs of their respective sections of the AWWA, which was announced earlier. Kevin Bergschneider, marketing manager for HDR's Colorado/Wyoming Water group who is based in HDR's Denver, Colo., office, has been named chairman of the Rocky Mountain Section. Al Erickson, a senior environmental engineer in HDR's Sioux Falls, S.D., office, has been named chairman of the South Dakota Section. Ali Mahan, Water client manager in HDR's Norfolk, Va., office, has been named chairman of the Virginia Section.

The American Water Works Association was founded in 1881 and is the largest organization of water supply professionals in the world with more than 50,000 members. It is dedicated to the improvement of drinking water quality and supply.
