Steve BeardSenior Vice President, Transit Market Sector Director
Steve Beard is a Senior Vice President and director of HDR's transit program. He has 35 years of experience in planning and program management for all modes and sizes of transit projects. Having worked for both large and small firms over the years, Steve decided to launch his own firm in 1996. Over the next nine years, the firm grew to more than 50 people with offices in Phoenix, Dallas and Houston. S. R. Beard & Associates (SRBA) specialized in transit planning and helping guide clients through the federal project approval process. In 2006, SRBA was acquired by HDR and become the core for HDR's growth in the transit market sector.

Ken Standig, P.E.Senior Bridge Manager, New York
Ken Standig is the senior bridge manager for HDR's New York City office. He has more than 35 years of experience on major transportation and heavy civil works projects, with expertise in the planning, design and rehabilitation of roadways, transit, bridges and infrastructure projects. Ken's responsibilities over the years have included project management, technical quality assurance, site investigations, preparation of contract documents, constructibility reviews and support of design and construction phase services. Ken currently serves as the contract manager for an Engineering Services Agreement with the New York City Department of Transportation, under which he has led several bus rapid transit assignments for HDR.

Chris LaTuso, P.E.Structures Discipline Lead
Chris LaTuso has 21 years of experience in the complete design of highway and bridge rehabilitation/replacement projects, from the scoping stages through construction inspection. He has spent the majority of his career developing transportation projects in the New York metropolitan area and has a unique understanding of the restrictions and difficulties in staging construction operations in urban areas. This experience provides him with the ability to develop efficient, constructible designs that maximize work zones and safety, and are cost effective to the owners. Chris is currently leading the structures team on the Eagle P3 project in Denver. Eagle P3 will add approximately 36 miles of light rail service connecting to Denver's Union Station and provide a rail link to the Denver International Airport.

Karen Creamer, P.E.Project Manager
Karen Creamer is a project manager, providing expertise in transportation design and planning. Her design responsibilities have encompassed freeway interchanges, highways, urban and rural roadways, and site design. Karen's transportation planning experience includes corridor feasibility studies, environmental assessments and impact statements, access management plans and traffic impact studies. Karen currently is leading the civil design team on the Eagle P3 project, which will add approximately 36 miles of light rail service connecting to Denver's Union Station and provide a rail link to the Denver International Airport.
