The City of Allen Central Fire Station and Administrative Offices were created to meet the demand for city services, specifically those related to public safety. The new facility was designed to house three major components serving the Fire Department—Central Fire Station, Administration and Fire Fighter Training. The facility consists of a two-story structure with a tall single-story apparatus bay and a single-story training room. The ground floor fire station contains dayroom/training space, kitchen, toilet/shower areas and sleeping rooms for the fire fighters. The second floor contains all of the administrative functions for Allen Fire and Rescue as well as the necessary support spaces. The Fire Marshal and associated support spaces are located near the lobby and elevator for convenient access by the public.
