National Ballet Traffic Study
When Canada's renowned National Ballet School set out to develop a state-of-the-art campus, it needed to assess the resulting transportation implications. We were hired to conduct a traffic and parking study for the project, known as Project Grand Jeté, which included the construction of a 400-unit residential building as well as expansion and renovation of other facilities on the existing site.
We evaluated traffic capacity, access, loading, pedestrian accommodation and parking issues. The parking study included reassessment of tenant demand based on parking space sales. Extensive public consultation resulted in a parking and calming management plan acceptable to the community and representatives of an adjacent elementary school, allowing Project Grand Jeté to proceed as planned.
