Optus Centre Sydney
Optus Centre is a custom-built campus where all facets of Optus—the second largest telecommunications provider in Australia—work together with greater synergy than ever before.
After operating from nine separate locations for many years, Optus decided to move all company functions to a 19 acre campus in North Ryde, a suburb of Sydney. The campus consists of six, interconnected low-rise buildings. Everything about the campus, from the horizontal nature of the buildings to the open floor plans, hundreds of shared spaces and meeting rooms, and the central heart that links all buildings in a series of park-like settings, support Optus' goal of increasing collaboration among its more than 6,500 employees.
Aiding in staff morale are on-site amenities such as a gym, a childcare center, various retail stores, a food court, parking space for over 2,000 cars, and secure parking for 330 bicycles. Since completion, we have remained involved in the campus, working with Optus on a series of improvements to respond to the growing needs of the tenant community, including new cafes, additional canopies, and additional end-of-trip facilities for cyclists.
