Activating the street level of the Holland Performing Arts Center, this new wine bar and lounge injects a fresh heartbeat to the building and surrounding downtown area. Designed to support the pre- and post-function activities requisite to a world-class concert hall experience, Ovations offers a dynamic space to engage various types of patron groups, from clients seeking a quick place to perch to larger groups of friends.

The renovation respects the building's materials (zinc, copper and glass) and its architecture with sleek, clean lines and a palette that plays on the honest exposed materials. The ceiling treatment's custom light-slot pattern appropriately alludes to the movement in a scored piece of music.

With the main body of the building is lifted above the ground-plane, the transparency of this newly renovated street level space not only affords views out to the surrounding urban landscape, but provides passersby with a provocative glimpse inside inviting further exploration.
