Turnkey Produced Water Collection and Disposal System, Haynesville Shale

In the Haynesville Shale, drilling and project completion efficiency is critical to improving resource play hub development. To manage processed water from multiple gas production wells, HDR assembled a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a turn-key water collection and disposal system. The team was comprised of consulting, design, permitting, right-of-way and construction experts. Design-build delivery simplified project administration and expedited completion.

The project includes a 42-mile network for the collection of produced water and two master pumping stations rated at 45,000 and 58,000 barrels per day. A linear pipeline was installed by directional drilling to convey water under the Sabine River from Louisiana to Texas. Permitting required close coordination between the client and other stakeholders including the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Texas and Louisiana Sabine River Authority.
