HDR Earns No. 9 Ranking, Cracks Engineering News-Record’s Top 10 List for First Time
(May 13, 2015) - HDR is ranked No. 9 on the 2015 Engineering News-Record Top 500 Design Firms list, widely considered the benchmark for industry rankings. This is the first time that HDR has been on the top ten list. It has been ranked No.11 for the last five years.
ENR announced the rankings in a special 50th anniversary issue this month that gives the history of the rankings since their inception.
“We’re very excited about the new No. 9 ranking on ENR’s Top 500 Design Firm list. This is a reflection of our continued growth in the marketplace, including our latest acquisitions of Infrastructure Corporation of America based in Brentwood, Tennessee, which specializes in transportation engineering, asset maintenance and management, and the asset purchase of MEI , LLC, a liquid natural gas (LNG) consulting firm based in Pooler, Georgia,” said George Little, HDR’s chairman and CEO.
HDR’s sector rankings were also released in this issue. Transportation and Water, both moved up two spots from No. 8 to No. 6. Other rankings include No. 7 in General Building; No. 16 in Power; No. 7 in Sewer and Waste and No. 24 in Top 50 Designers in International Markets.
Another ENR publication, The Top 500 Design Firms Sourcebook, will be released in late June.
