HDR Welcomes Denise Hannagan
HDR welcomes Denise Hannagan, MSN, MHA, RN-BC, to the consulting staff as a senior healthcare consultant in Pasadena, Calif. Denise brings an extensive background and a wealth of knowledge to the position with 31 years of experience in healthcare and 20 years in nursing.
In her new role, Denise will lead all aspects of HDR’s clients’ healthcare planning efforts, including creating strategic plans, master facility plans and functional and space programs. She will identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, lead internal teams and act as a senior advisor to clients.
Denise most recently worked as an education program coordinator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif., where she developed and implemented educational programs for the ambulatory and supportive staff. She has also worked as a case manager, clinical assistant manager, quality improvement associate and registered nurse.
“I have a multifaceted view of healthcare, allowing me to offer a unique perspective to engage patients, staff and providers,” Denise says.
In 2014, Denise co-authored curriculum focused on teamwork and collaboration, and she serves on the faculty of the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing. With specialties including patient care, ambulatory medical care and risk and quality improvement/management, she excels in looking ahead to an organization’s possibilities – and making the customer happy, she says.
“I enjoy collaborating with a team, seeing the end result and the customers you are serving happy – whether they are employees or patients.”
“We are excited to have Denise working with the LA team,” says Cyndi McCullough, director, evidence based design. “She has demonstrated her ability to be a great team member and contribute to achieving the client’s goals.”
