Chad Reilly to Lead Boston Architecture Office
Chad Reilly, AIA, joins HDR as managing principal in the Boston office. With over 20 years of experience, Chad brings exceptional leadership and management skills to teams on highly complex projects. With a sharp focus and a talent for consensus building, he leads clients through the design and construction process using his strategic and innovative thinking.
“Chad is a great addition to our Boston office,” says Mike Konsko, East Region Director. “Under his leadership I’m confident that HDR will build a strong design practice supporting our healthcare, civic, and education, science and technology programs in the New England area.”
In his role as managing principal, Chad will develop relationships with target clients and pursue new work, as well as oversee all activities and projects within the office, including implementing annual goals, financial plans, and marketing strategies. “Leading the Boston office on a path of growth and prominence is a tremendous professional challenge. I look forward to working with an incredibly talented team to build on their accomplishments and achieve the kind of reputation and brand recognition in New England that HDR has established in each of their office locations,” says Chad.
Having worked on museum and educational facilities as an architect for the past 15 years, Chad is passionate about mission-based projects where he is able to create spaces that contribute to the lives of the people who will ultimately use the buildings. His highly collaborative approach, ability to realize the client’s vision, and an understanding of how multiple, interdependent components must come together amidst changing dynamics, are keys to his success.
Chad received his architecture degree from Harvard where he also played men’s varsity soccer. He then earned his master’s in architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
