Beezhold Joins HDR as Senior Project Manager in Kansas City
(July 22 2016) - Michael Beezhold has joined HDR as a senior water resources project manager located in the Kansas City, Missouri office. In this role, he will support Midwest communities in meeting stormwater and water supply challenges and apply his success in leveraging local, state and federal funds to meet these fiscal demands.
“Mike Beezhold is well known as a national stormwater leader. He was key in building the Water Environment Federation’s national stormwater program. Mike has been a respected colleague for years and I am incredibly pleased to add him to HDR’s stormwater team. This represents HDR’s strong commitment to serve our clients,” said Jeff Eger, HDR’s stormwater director.
Beezhold has over 20 years of experience in the water resources field supporting municipal, state and federal clients. Prior to joining HDR, Beezhold worked for CDM Smith in Kansas City, managing state water supply planning projects as well as municipal stormwater funding, planning and permitting efforts. He also served as the Department of Public Works watershed manager for the city of Lenexa, Kansas. This role put him directly in charge of the award-winning stormwater program Rain to Recreation. Additionally, Beezhold has experience working for the state as an urban watershed conservationist with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Beezhold is the recent past chair for the Water Environment Federation national stormwater committee. He currently serves on the steering committee of the newly launched WEF Stormwater Institute and is a contributing author to the recent WEF publication, Green Infrastructure Implementation.
