Nero Joins HDR

Wendy Nero has joined HDR as client development director for water resource management, based in the Orlando office. In her new position, Nero will provide leadership to grow the global water resources management practice.

She has more than 30 years of water resource management experience, and has held positions in consulting, as well as state and local government.

She served in several leadership positions with CH2MHILL from 1995 to 2014, focusing on area and client management, business development and water resource projects. After leaving there, Nero joined Haskell, an alternative delivery contractor where she led a group-wide “Excellence in Business Development” initiative for the firm. 

Throughout her career, Nero has been applying her water issue management expertise across the United States, including directing client development, community positioning and strategy sessions for pursuits.

She holds a bachelor of science degree in environmental science from Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky, and a master of science degree in water resource planning/geography from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois. Nero received the prestigious George Warren Fuller Award from the American Water Works Association in 2001.
