Greg Hadsell Promoted to Education, Science, and Technology Principal
Greg Hadsell, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to Education, Science, and Technology (E|S|T) Principal for HDR’s architectural practice in San Francisco.
Since joining the firm nine years ago, Greg has helped grow the E|S|T practice in the San Francisco office in both design and project management capacities. He has collaborated with clients and colleagues across different geographies and disciplines within HDR’s global network to design award-winning buildings and solutions in the science, healthcare, education, industrial, and commercial sectors.
“Greg’s strong leadership has been an integral component to the success of HDR’s San Francisco Office,” shares Michael Orr, Managing Principal for the San Francisco architectural studio. “He has built strong relationships with clients and has worked collaboratively with his teams to deliver inspiring work in the Bay Area and abroad. I’m excited to have Greg as a Principal in our practice so he and I can continue working together to grow the studio.”
With over seventeen years in architectural design and team leadership, Greg has worked alongside dozens of academic, corporate, and government clients to develop highly complex, state-of-the-art research facilities.
“It’s been really exciting to watch Greg emerge as a discipline and team leader over the past nine years,“ states Steve Riojas, Global Director of E|S|T at HDR. “His ability to organize and inspire teams to meet and exceed client expectations is a reflection of HDR at its very best. Leading the growth of the E|S|T sector in Northern California will be a natural progression and extension of Greg’s talents.”
Greg enjoys working with his colleagues to bring the right tools and resources to clients to develop solutions that push boundaries in terms of building performance and sustainability. He anticipates forging even greater partnerships with clients in the Bay Area and Northern California moving forward.
“In my work on project teams, I am constantly trying to consider the client’s perspective, serving as their advocate so that we as designers are always presenting the best possible solutions to them,” shares Greg. “In my new role, I look forward to leveraging HDR’s talented global network to bring even greater expertise and innovative ideas to clients across this region.”
