Harris Brings Utility Solutions, Strength to HDR’s Power Regulatory Compliance Services
Christine Harris has joined HDR as Power Generation Regulatory Compliance practice leader, based in our Virginia Beach, Virginia, office.
In her new position, Harris will share her compliance expertise with clients for regulations like 316b, CCR and ELG.
Harris spent the past 13 years in leadership and management at Dominion Resources where she managed a portfolio of capital and operations and maintenance projects. Throughout 25 years in distribution, power generation and corporate support, she built effective and efficient teams to support the development of a six-year capital plan for Dominion’s power generation fleet, and managed and oversaw a multi-million dollar fuel flexibility project.
Harris helped lead the charge both internally within Dominion and externally with partnering electric utilities to determine the impact of environmental regulations on current equipment, developing compliance strategies and implementing compliance with regulations which required capital or operations project work. Alongside her team, she oversaw the 316B compliance effort including technical studies and peer review process development, and implemented a CCR compliance strategy for four generation facilities.
She holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA, both in business from James Madison University in Virginia.
