Australian Team Wins Prestigious Golden Bee Award at La Triennale in Milan

The Australian Pavilion has won the inaugural Golden Bee Award at the XXII Triennale di Milano. HDR is the Principal Partner supporting the architectural design of the Australian Pavilion led by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Entitled ‘Teatro Della Terra Alienata’ (Theatre of the Alienated Land), the Australian Pavilion consolidates two years of research and pedagogical projects.

The XXII International Exhibition of La Triennale di Milano, titled Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival, runs from March 1 to September 1, 2019 and reflects on the relationship between humans and environments at all scales. This year, the Triennale presents the Bee Awards for the first time to recognise three international participants on the basis of the precision of their interpretation of the theme and the quality and relevance of the ideas they put forth.
