Modern Healthcare Magazine Features HDR Fellow's Research

Inmate healthcare is often viewed as an isolated problem, but HDR Fellow Dave Redemske explains to Modern Healthcare magazine that inmate healthcare and public health are intertwined.

From his research, Redemske concludes that part of the problem surrounding insufficient care for inmates is a lack of standardisation and coordination deficiencies between prison and community health systems. "If we don't take care of these issues while they are incarcerated they are going to bring these issues right back to the community," Redemske said.
