67 Albert Avenue Project Wins Good Design Award
HDR recently won a Good Design Award for its 67 Albert Avenue project.
The Good Design Awards are one of the longest standing and most prestigious design awards in the world, promoting excellence in design and innovation since 1958.
The Awards proudly promote the very best in design, innovation and creativity at the national and international levels. From a credible, trusted independent platform, the Good Design Awards showcase superior examples of good design across a broad range of industries and design disciplines.
The winning project focused on repositioning the lobby of 67 Albert Avenue — a quite striking yet somewhat dated 1980s building. The design sought to update the visual aesthetic of the lobby, increase the amount of natural light flowing through the upper level, and create a quality space to dwell. Repositioning the lobby provided the opportunity to achieve a more contemporary expression and atmosphere and signal the building’s presence on the cityscape.
