Kevin Williams, P.E., PLS, CPESC, CPSWQ, CFM
ECRS Practice Lead & Group Manager
Kevin Williams leads stream restoration for the Ecological Restoration Group. He is the Project Manager for all stream restoration design projects. He has more than 28 years of civil and hydraulic engineering experience.
Kevin has managed dozens of stream restoration projects in the Southeast, totaling more than 142,000 linear feet of designed stream. He was one of the first engineers in North Carolina to employ Natural Channel Design techniques into roadway and hydraulic designs. Kevin has been on advisory committees for various clients to help create standard templates and standard operating procedures for sedimentation and erosion control planning, construction bid administration and construction management, and construction plan preparation.
Kevin has created numerous stream design and analysis techniques, such as three-dimensional modeling using MicroStation, Geopak and HEC-RAS, which more accurately portrays restored site conditions. These techniques lead to a more efficient design process, which provides clients/contractors a higher degree of confidence in tabulated quantities.
