Gary has dedicated his entire career to improving the quality of work and life through design. His career is distinguished by his particular ability to intentionally combine robust strategy with creative thinking and insightful design. His resume is punctuated with an esteemed portfolio of work that solves the strategic business challenges and human-centered needs of a diverse clientele.
Working alongside our architectural design, engineering and innovation groups, Gary is helping to propel our Interiors and Workplace Strategy expertise into exciting and uncharted directions. He brings a big picture mentality to every project, and embraces collaboration across disciplines. He champions the idea that great design is about using research, qualitative interviews, surveys and onsite observation to create intelligent and provocative environments that deliver competitive advantage for global businesses in the corporate, financial, retail, education and health markets.
The significance of Gary’s contributions to the practice of interior design has been recognized through numerous design awards. He is a recipient of the IIDA Lifetime Achievement Award, and is a board member of both the Design Futures Council and the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI). He is a past president of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 2000.
