ARCHITECT Features Kolos, World's Largest Data Centre
Kolos Data Center is a featured project on ARCHITECT’s website. The design for the 600,000 square metre facility was revealed in August 2017 and is set to be the world’s largest and most sustainable source of computing power in the world. Located in Ballengen, Norway, the facility takes advantage of the country’s competitive green energy, cool climate and large technical workforce, and access to international high-performance fibre. The design takes cues from the spectacular landforms of alluvial fans, mountains and glaciers that define the site.
