Rick Nannenga, P.E.
Principal Project Manager
Rick has helped lead planning, design and construction of more than a dozen rail transit systems across North America. He especially enjoys the challenge of curating the perfect team for each project and he is excited about the efficiency and synergy alternative delivery projects are making possible. Among his most significant accomplishments are Tucson’s successful Sun Link streetcar system and the Blue, Red, Green and Orange lines in Portland, Oregon. Today, he also brings more than three decades of experience to his role as a mentor to up-and-coming talent from among our transit planners and engineers. His work has been modeled around the industry as cities and agencies adopt features and processes he helped pioneer. And he keeps his thumb on the pulse of transit-related advances to communications technology and alternative energy. Rick is active with APTA and has written and presented about LRT and streetcar systems.
