Tom Vandeveer, AIA, LEED AP
Tom has more than 40 years of industry experience and has lived around the world in Norway, France, London and Saudi Arabia, giving him both a U.S. and a global perspective in his work. His particular expertise centres on major courts and courts facilities, which has helped to solidify us as a leader in planning and designing this building type. Tom’s justice work includes the Calgary Court Centre, one of the largest P3 projects in the world at the time.
He has served as principal, project director, project manager and lead courthouse planner for small courthouse renovation projects to large, new construction courthouses. On these complex projects, he uses his exceptional abilities in management, scheduling and cost control and contract administration to help ensure success.
Tom has been a contributing author of articles related to courthouse design in technical and trade publications and he was instrumental in developing GSA Facilities Standards and a U.S. Courts Design Guide.
