An opioid drug epidemic is occurring across the country, especially within certain counties in rural Appalachia. Ross County is one area in Ohio that has been hit hard, particularly among women who reside there. The County recognized the issues and saw how the population in their jail was changing. That’s why they hired HDR to help research the population and redesign the jail to meet the changing needs of the inmates housed within the facility.
