Designing Labs for Multiple Generations

What does the generational shift in approaches to working mean for the scientific workplace? While older generations may be more comfortable with a siloed approach, newer generations have grown up sharing and collaborating throughout their education and careers. In this article, HDR’s Allison Arnone and Fred Mason share design approaches that address some of these differences, such as flexibility and the integration of technology into both traditional office and lab environments. They also highlight the important role of transparency for management and for building a culture of trust.
