Enhancing Your Urban Stormwater Controls
Stormwater Control Measures are essential to any effective stormwater management program and require good design, proper construction and long-term maintenance.
The latest Water Environment Federation publication, “Urban Stormwater Controls Operation and Maintenance,” is your one-stop source for all SCM maintenance and serves as a collection of best practices in program development, inspection, equipment maintenance, cost estimate, asset management considerations and more.
This new guide was co-authored by water industry professionals and peer-reviewed by a group of American Society of Civil Engineers and Water Environment Federation members, including Aiza Jose Sanchez, one of our technical experts based in Dallas, Texas. She and her colleagues developed this publication to provide stormwater controls designers with a manual of practice that outlines the importance of incorporating maintenance considerations into the design and constructions of SCMs as well as give back to the industry at-large.
