Ventura County Treatment-Focused Jail Expansion featured in Correctional News
HDR’s Ventura County Todd Road Jail Health and Programming Unit was featured in the May/June edition of Correctional News. The new facility, adjacent to an existing HDR-designed facility, will enable the county to provide necessary jail programming for medical and mental health needs. Focusing on the treatment-outcomes approach, the article highlights the strong relationship between Ventura County and the design-build team, HDR and Sletten Companies. HDR’s design principal Paul Nagashima and project manager Paul Chastant contributed to the article, sharing key elements that make this project a prime example of outcomes-focused design.
