HDR's Quality Assurance Program Description
HDR's Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan (QA/QC) provides the means to meet the requirements for audits and managerial controls, including a clear definition of authority and responsibilities for organizations and personnel, while concurrently documenting that QC requirements are met. HDR's quality assurance policy requires all employees associated with the project to comply with the provisions of the QC Plan. All components of the QC program are contained in (or included/referenced in) HDR's QA/QC Plan, which is maintained as a controlled document and consists of two volumes. The first volume contains 18 sections, which collectively describe the managerial controls, quality verification and overview activities unique to HDR's Program. The second volume contains the implementing procedures, QA, QC, and Technical Procedures, which present requirements for quality-related activities and guidance on how these activities are to be conducted and completed. HDR's QA/QC Plan meets the quality assurance requirements contained in the quality standards documents ANSI/ASQC Q 9001-1994 (i.e., ISO9001) and ASME NQA-1-1989. The QA/QC Plan also provides a continuous, interactive process by which revisions and updates to the QC Plan are solicited or provided by personnel in order for the program to constantly reflect new and different methods for improving quality. Our corporate quality assurance office ensures that appropriate QA practices are implemented on every project.
