David Stanley Joins HDR as Mining Practice Leader
David Stanley has joined HDR as the mining practice leader, based in the Phoenix, Arizona, office.
Stanley comes to HDR with more than 20 years of professional experience, the last seven with Rio Tinto as its manager of infrastructure where he was responsible for the water, power and transportation programming of a large copper mine development project currently at the pre-feasibility phase.
In his new position, Stanley will be responsible for leading the continued development of HDR’s worldwide mining practice and for ensuring that current and future mining clients consistently experience the service excellence that HDR is known for.

His experience and industry insight are extremely valuable, and he has an unwavering passion for responsibly advancing the industry. I look forward to seeing where our mining practice can go with him at the helm,” Industrial Sector Director Matt Laccinole said.
Stanley is a licensed mechanical engineer with a degree from the University of Utah. He is an active member of the Society for Mining Engineers.
