Bill Peduzzi, PE, joined HDR as the firm’s aviation director. Peduzzi will lead project delivery, operations and business development for HDR’s growing list of airport, airfield and related consulting services.

Based in Pittsburgh, Peduzzi draws on nearly 30 years in aviation infrastructure consulting. Prior to joining HDR, he led the aviation practice of a top 3 ranked transportation firm as well as two joint ventures, each comprising three firms. One JV led program management for the $5.4 billion Capacity Enhancement Program at Philadelphia International Airport, and the other led construction management for the $6 billion ATLNext program at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Peduzzi graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology. He has led significant airport and airfield development programs, including new runways at Washington Dulles and John Glenn Columbus International airports.

“I am excited to work with HDR’s outstanding professionals to help the aviation industry prepare for the future,” Peduzzi said. “Our clients require a diversified, full-service team of technical, operations and cross-sector support staff, and we’re going to leverage our talent and reputation for excellence to serve their needs and expand our aviation practice.”

Peduzzi joins HDR as the firm delivers on a wide range of aviation development services to airport and military clients around the globe. HDR recently led civil design for the “Terminal 1 Modernization and Concourse A” project at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, which opened in July 2017; and HDR is leading the runway rehab and safety enhancement project at Blue Grass International Airport in Lexington, Kentucky. In 2016, HDR received the Corporate Award of Excellence from the Northwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives for the firm’s public outreach leadership during master planning for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

“Bill’s leadership will help us grow our aviation program including our service offerings and geographic experience,” said Charles O’Reilly, group president, transportation. “As we celebrate our centennial year, we are excited to add his design and consulting experience to our team, and look forward to offering enhanced service and value to the aviation industry.”
