Minassian Joins HDR as Northeast Client Development Manager
Vatche Minassian has joined HDR as the Northeast client development manager for the company's water practice. He is based in HDR’s White Plains, New York, office.
Minassian has more than 29 years of experience in the civil/environmental engineering field. His background ranges from planning and design to construction administration of municipal projects.
In his new role, Minassian will be responsible for driving regional business growth, strategic planning implementation and leading key pursuits.
He comes to HDR from Arcadis Design and Consultancy where he worked for 17 years, serving most recently as client service manager. In that role Minassian managed multiple large projects for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, including plant upgrades and implementation of the citywide collection and supervisory control and data acquisition system. He also helped direct the New York City Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget with their $9 million capital project scope and development that included planning for multiple mayoral agencies, such as the department of sanitation, parks, citywide administrative services and the fire department.
Minassian holds a bachelor in civil engineering from Manhattan College. He is a member of the American Water Works Association, New York Water Environment Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
