HDR Expands Minnesota Architectural Engineering Practice with addition of Mark Bradby
HDR’s Minneapolis architecture studio is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Bradby, P.E., as engineering principal. Bradby joins Amy Williams, managing principal, and other office leaders to continue enhancing HDR’s success in Minneapolis. Prior to joining HDR, Bradby was a partner and senior engineer with BKV Group.
Charged with growing HDR’s local architectural engineering practice and ensuring that project goals are achieved, Bradby will specifically focus his efforts on supporting HDR’s growing health and education, science and technology markets.
“Mark’s diverse project leadership experience allows us to introduce a new dimension to the range of services offered by our Minneapolis architecture studio,” said Williams. “We’re incredibly excited to have him join our accomplished team, and we’re looking forward to the shared success that he is sure to bring.”
With nearly two decades of project management experience and a passion for sustainability, Bradby is an accomplished mechanical engineer registered in Minnesota and 21 other states. His experience spans many market sectors, from historic preservation projects to medical facilities and data centers. His extensive knowledge of project planning, collaborative design and implementation and design innovation have helped him serve as a mechanical, electrical and plumbing leader for several large construction projects within the government and corporate sectors.
Outside of the office, Bradby is active in both academic and philanthropic engagements. He is part of the advisory committee for the HVAC program at Dunwoody College of Technology, and he is involved with reviewing the University of Minnesota’s B-3 sustainability standards. He also took a two-year leave of absence in 2007 to build schools in rural Pakistan and Afghanistan with the Minnesota-based nonprofit, Shelter for Life. This included working with a team of architects and engineers to complete the construction of 23 schools serving more than 1,000 children.
