Kurt Ubbelohde Joins HDR as Director of Professional Services, Federal
Kurt Ubbelohde has joined HDR as the Director of Professional Services for the federal group. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, he will lead quality initiatives, organize technology adoption to improve business processes and promote training.
A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Ubbelohde had a 26-year career in the Army leading staff, conducting strategic planning and daily operations, managing projects and leading crisis management responses. His final assignments with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were Commander of the Omaha District, then Commander of the Gulf Region North in Mosul, Iraq. For the last 13 years, Ubbelohde led Leo Daly's federal practice and significantly grew market share.
Ubbelohde is active in the industry and highly engaged with federal clients. He is a long-time member and Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers, serving in leadership roles at the local and national levels, providing mentoring for young engineers at the U.S. Air Force Academy and speaking at conferences.
