Christina Pak Joins HDR as Senior Program Manager to Lead Expanded Portfolio in Korea
Christina Pak has joined HDR as a senior program manager within the firm’s Federal practice. Based out of Seoul, Pak will oversee the delivery and management of federal projects on the Korean peninsula, direct operations and support key clients in the region.
With more than 34 years of experience in the industry as a licensed architect, the majority of Pak’s career has been focused on leading complex military projects in Korea. “Christina’s background, deep knowledge and existing relationships will be critical to expanding the work we are doing in Korea, which is part of our overall strategic plan to grow our federal practice in the Pacific,” said Erik Johnson, West Region Federal director. “We are thrilled to have her leading part of our global efforts in the region.”
Prior to joining HDR, Pak was most recently the department head for design management and the director of Architecture at CH2M/Jacobs. Pak has spent the past 23 years in Korea, where she has held positions as chief architect and project manager for numerous Department of Defense project designs including headquarters, maintenance facilities and senior leader quarters. Pak also played a key role in the master planning, programming, land and infrastructure development, establishment of design standards, management of 23 local A-E teams and design quality assurance for an $11 billion base relocation program for the U.S. military.
“I am looking forward to continuing a strong local presence to serve our military clients with HDR’s high-quality designs and services, while keeping abreast of the many exciting opportunities for growth on the Korean peninsula,” said Pak.
