Daryl Bodewin Tapped for HDR's Strategic Project Director Role
Daryl Bodewin, AIA, LEED BD+C, has been named to the new role of strategic project director for HDR’s architecture practice.
This new position will allow Bodewin to more broadly apply his strong project leadership skills to the firm’s large, complex, and strategic projects. This will further the role he’s previously played for the 1.2 million-square-foot patient pavilion at the University of Pennsylvania and the 1.5 million-square-foot bed tower at The Ohio State University to extend to all markets and building typologies. This experience, combined with his previous work for SOM and Perkins+Will, make Bodewin uniquely qualified for this position.
With more than 20 years of experience in the architecture profession, Bodewin’s primary responsibilities in his new role will include: assisting in project pursuits and finalizing negotiations, selections, and booking of strategic projects; monitoring a project’s performance with the support of the project principals and project managers; identifying and recruiting key hires to lead strategic projects; and working with offices to improve work share strategies.
While based in HDR’s Princeton, New Jersey, office, Bodewin will work closely with strategic architecture project teams throughout the firm’s 40-plus offices worldwide.
