Eric Meub Named Design Director for HDR Health
Bringing Dignity, Delight and Decorum to Healthcare Design
Eric Meub, AIA, LEED AP, Design Principal in Los Angeles, recently was appointed Design Director for HDR’s Health market, joining HDR’s design leaders who are charged with championing the importance of creativity, innovation and design thinking as the tools to continually push the boundaries of design around the world.
With more than 39 years of experience in architecture, Meub has spent the majority of his time dedicated to master planning, medical planning and the design of large, complex healthcare and academic projects. His leadership has had a profound impact on those with whom he's worked.
“Eric is an award-winning, high-concept and high energy thought leader, design leader and practice leader with a passion for healthcare’s evolving mission,” said Brian Kowalchuk, global design director. “His personal mission is for design to add a sense of joy to a project, as well as the dignity, delight and decorum that ultimately inspires all occupants.”
Meub has led design and master-planning for such world-renowned academic medical centers as Stanford University, the University of California and MD Anderson. He has also led design and planning for Intermountain Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente and many other healthcare systems.
